The three segments of wing and leg clearly demarcated, bent at elbow and knee joints.
Distinct grooves between digits 1 and 2.
Webs between digits 1/2 and between all toes slightly curved, concave lines.
Mandibular process approaches beak, but gap between the two still conspicuous.
Lengthening of neck between 'collar' and mandible very conspicuous.
'Collar' begins to flatten.
Two dorsal rows of feather germs to either side of spinal cord at brachial level.
Three rows at level of legs; indistinct at thoracic level.
None on thigh.
Scleral papillae: one on either side of choroid fissure; never more than two.
Egg tooth distinct, slightly protruding.
